“Satchidananda: being, consciousness, bliss – the ever-present primordial ground. It pervades everything; nothing lies outside it.”
Satchidananda
Satchidananda
Sat–Cit–Ānanda means being, consciousness and bliss. Premodern evidence: Ātmabodha 64; see also 56 and 67. The triple formula and its interpretation as the omnipresent primordial ground are kept distinct: the card draws its own Vedānta impulse from it. No attribution to Sri Aurobindo.
Traditional Vedānta term Sat–Cit–Ānanda; Ātmabodha, traditionally attributed to Śaṅkara, verses 56, 64 and 67.
